Every file that arrives here is pre-flighted before it is quoted, not after it is scheduled. We check bleed, die line, minimum text size, barcode magnification and quiet zones, and overprint settings — the five things that cause almost every reprint. About one file in six comes back with something to fix, and we would rather have that conversation in week one.
Colour is matched to a physical target using a spectrophotometer, to a Delta E of 2 or better. If you send us a printed sample of the last run, we match that; if you send a Pantone reference, we match that; if you send a screenshot, we will ask for one of the other two.
Every new job gets a printed proof on the actual face stock and finish, posted to you. A digital PDF proof shows you the layout and tells you nothing about how a soft-touch laminate will change the colour, which on a dark label can be a visible shift.

We pre-flight before we quote, not after we schedule. About one file in six comes back with something to fix, and week one is the cheap time to find it.
