Terms

Last updated 1 April 2026. Conditions of sale, including the two that most often get missed: run tolerance and artwork approval.

Quotations

Valid thirty days.

Quotations hold for thirty days and list every assumption they rest on — face stock, adhesive, finish, number of colours, reel direction and core size. Change one of those and the price changes, and we will requote in writing rather than adjust the invoice.

Origination is quoted separately from the run and is charged once. Reprints of unchanged artwork carry no origination cost, however long afterwards.

Artwork

Approval is final.

Nothing goes to press without your written approval of a printed proof on the actual stock. Once approved, the job prints as approved — if an error is found afterwards that was present on the proof, the reprint is chargeable. This is the single most common dispute in this trade and it is why we post physical proofs.

We pre-flight every file free and will tell you about problems we can see. We cannot be responsible for content we could not check: ingredient declarations, allergen statements, regulatory copy and barcode data are yours to verify.

Tolerances

Plus or minus 10%.

Trade practice on self-adhesive label runs is a delivery tolerance of 10% over or under the ordered quantity, charged at the run rate. On short digital runs under 5,000 we hold it to 5%, and we will always tell you the actual figure before invoicing.

Colour is matched to a physical target to a Delta E of 2 or better. A visual match to a screen, a previous supplier's print or an uncalibrated proof is not something anyone can guarantee, and we will say so rather than promise it.

Delivery and payment

Thirty days, net.

Thirty days from invoice for account customers; proforma for the first order. Title in the goods passes on payment; risk passes on delivery.

Claims for shortage or damage must reach us within five working days of delivery, with the reel labels, so we can trace the batch. After that we cannot investigate it properly.

Note

This is a demonstration.

Meridian Labels is a fictional company. It has no premises, no staff and no customers, and every figure, client, accreditation and person on this site is invented. The telephone number is from the range Ofcom reserves for fiction. Built by Omnify Labs to demonstrate design and build quality.
