FSC Chain of Custody certification confirmed for a fourth year

In short

Plus the numbers behind it: liner recycling, matrix waste and where our paper actually comes from.

FSC Chain of Custody means we can demonstrate an unbroken trail from a certified forest to the label on your product, and it is audited annually. This is our fourth year.

The less-discussed problem in label printing is not the paper, it is the silicone release liner — the backing your labels come on, which is not recyclable through normal streams and which historically went to landfill in very large quantities. We have been sending ours to a specialist reprocessor in Cheshire since 2023: 41 tonnes last year, of which 38 were recovered.

Matrix waste — the printed material stripped away between labels — is the other half. Ours goes to energy recovery rather than landfill. We would rather it did not exist at all, and the honest position is that nesting artwork more efficiently at the design stage saves more than any downstream process does.

Send the artwork and tell us the substrate

We pre-flight before we quote, not after we schedule. About one file in six comes back with something to fix, and week one is the cheap time to find it.
